An exciting pub restaurant newly opened in an affluent village that's already making waves in the area.
Food focus is home made, fresh- pub food 'with a twist'. Currently service hours are Friday to Sunday 1-9pm with prep days Wednesday and Thursday, so a 5 day a week role. Head chef and Sous Chef in place both super talented chefs, we're looking for someone who can support them and is passionate about food and creating dishes with new flavours.
No live in so must live locally or be able to travel in.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our restaurant. This position requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and safety. As a Chef, you will help create an inspiring culinary experience for our guests while supervising kitchen staff and ensuring efficient food production.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and cooking techniques.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Help develop new menu items and contribute to creative culinary ideas.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality before serving.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Assist in managing kitchen schedules and staff rotations to optimise workflow.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
Previous experience in supervising kitchen operations is an advantage.
