Torquay United Football Club have an amazing opportunity for a full-time chef to join their permanent team. We are able to offer a very unique and interesting role.

No 2 days will be the same when working at Plainmoor Stadium, the home of Torquay United Football Club. We offer high-level food packages on matchdays in our Cove Restaurant and hospitality boxes, on days like these, you would be working alongside our Taste of the West Gold Award Winning Consultant Chef.

On other days you may working in our Sports Bar, Boots and Laces. Here you will be preparing fresh pizzas, burgers, loaded fries, lasagne and paninis. We also offer specialist food nights such as curry nights or mixed grills. You maybe be preparing a Buffet for a Funeral Wake or a Christening.

We also have a football team, and the players need feeding, so you will get involved with their nutritious meals after training or before a match.

This position really does provide a huge variation on a standard working week with no 2 days being the same.

We are offering an annual salary in the region of 28,000 - 32,000 depending upon experience, with holiday pay, statutory sick pay and pension all included in your package. You will preferably have your own transportation to get to Plainmoor Stadium if there is an early breakfast start or to get home after a late night 4 course tasting menu. Shifts will be a variation of straight shifts, and this is based on 5 days from 7.

An immediate start is available for the right candidate. You will have clear communication skills and a positive attitude with a willingness to overcome obstacles and find solutions to problems. You will be a team player who will integrate into the existing Hospitality team seamlessly
