Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
Manage food inventory, ensuring freshness and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and trends.
Train new staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Previous experience in high-pressure kitchen settings is advantageous.
