As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to create delicious and innovative dishes that delight our guests.
Duties
Support the daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. .
Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Manage food preparation processes, ensuring timely and efficient service during peak hours.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Assist in the development of new recipes and culinary techniques to enhance the dining experience.
Skills
Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a kitchen environment.
In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
A background in hospitality is advantageous, enhancing the overall guest experience through culinary excellence.

Delapre Abbey is the home of Hibiscus Fine Dining, 2 AA rosette restaurant and the Orangery Cafe. This role will have the opportunity to support across both.
Job Types: Full-time, Volunteer
Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
