We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our cafe. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supervising kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen at all times. Develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for ingredients as necessary to ensure availability. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.

Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional organisational skills, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly during service periods. A passion for food production, creativity in menu design, and an understanding of current culinary trends. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with front-of-house staff and management.
