We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/ Pitmaster to lead our mobile catering events beside the owner Co owner. in delivering exceptional culinary/ BBQ experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, Out door BBQ management, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Collaborate with team members to develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or outdoor hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of food production techniques and HACCP principles
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable but not essential, Food hygiene qualifications are a must.
Personal portfolio/ ability to show competency/ knowledge of grilling is a must
