Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Support the Head Chef in training new kitchen staff and fostering a positive team environment.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Assist in planning and executing special events or catering services as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere, showcasing leadership qualities when necessary.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
