Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with experience in food preparation and production within a restaurant environment. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while ensuring food safety and maintaining a well-organised kitchen. Your leadership skills will help manage the team effectively, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that prioritises hospitality and excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring efficiency and quality in food production. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques. Ability to manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment. Passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu design and presentation. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A relevant culinary qualification is preferred but not essential for candidates with significant experience.
