We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the head chef in preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. Duties



Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality. Support the head chef in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily operations. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. Help organise the kitchen workflow, including food preparation, plating, and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, complying with food safety standards. Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed. Contribute to menu development by providing ideas based on current culinary trends and customer preferences. Serve food to guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met.

Requirements



Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. Supervising experience or leadership skills in managing kitchen staff or teams. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and suppliers. Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary career whilst contributing to a thriving hospitality establishment.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.29-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
