We are seeking a talented, experienced and passionate Chef or possibly Sous chef, depending on experience, to join our wonderful team here at 45 Queen Street. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen management and a keen understanding of food safety standards. As a chef here, you will ensure high-quality food production, and maintain a positive, kind atmosphere within the kitchen. We have a busy, open, vibrant kitchen where your hard work, vision and enthusiasm will be seen and appreciated by the whole team.
Duties
? Food preparation, cooking, managing stock.
? Efficient workflow.
? Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards for quality.
? Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
? Collaborate with our Bar, Floor and Deli team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
? Contribute creative ideas to the head chef for the menu.
? Work closely with the head chef to ensure that consistent, high quality standards are maintained in the kitchen and across all dishes .
Experience
? Proven experience in a fast paced, hands on chef role in a restaurant kitchen.
? Knowledge of food production techniques and best practices in food safety.
? Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
? Passion for cooking, quality ingredients and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
? Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
