Amelia House Nursery is a growing nursery on London City Island, E14. This is a very exciting opportunity to be involved in a new nursery, make your mark and help us continue grow.
We offer a high standard of care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
We have modern, innovative , engaging environment for the children in our care, providing fun and stimulating activities and opportunities for individuality in both our indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ensure our high quality exceptional care and education is maintained while full time staff are on lunch breaks. Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop.
- Make accurate and effective observations and assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of development of each child.
- Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision.
- Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play.
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies.
- Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.
- Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is always maintained
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers to support the retention and ongoing occupancy growth
- Attend staff meetings and training to ensure a continuation of personal professional development to ensure your knowledge and skills are up to date, full, and relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
- A Childcare qualification and/or experience is desirable
- Good understanding of the EYFS
- Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding
