Play Safe Club practitioners have a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children at our before and after school clubs. This position requires individuals who are passionate about working with children. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare or early childhood education, demonstrating effective communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for the children.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a team atmosphere focused on the children's best interests.
Assist in managing daily operations of the setting.
Preparing breakfast and after school snacks.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable but full training can be given for the right candidate.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development in a supportive environment.
Hours of work are 7am-9am and 2.30pm-6pm Monday to Thursday. While we're looking for staff to cover these specific shifts we are open to discussing a combination of shifts and additionals shifts at our Monk Fryston setting are also available.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
