Job Description

Kids Ahoy Nursery is a warm, nurturing, and inclusive early years setting dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children from birth to five years and After School over 2 sites. At our St Michael Street site, for ages 0-3 years, our rooms offer a safe, stimulating environment where babies and toddlers are supported to explore, develop, and thrive through play, connection, and curiosity.

Main Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-3 years in line with national guidelines and Kids Ahoy values Foster secure attachments by building positive, trusting relationships with each child and their family Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support children's development across all areas of the

Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment by adhering to nursery policies and health and safety procedures Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning using digital platforms Work collaboratively with the staff team to maintain a positive and inclusive environment Support children's routines including feeding, nappy changing, sleep, and transitions Promote children's rights in line with the

UNCRC

, respecting their individuality and voice Attend staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals

Essential Criteria



SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Social Services (Children and Young People) Experience working with children aged 0-3 years in an early years setting Strong understanding of child development and responsive care Ability to work flexibly as part of a team Knowledge of current early years frameworks (CfE, GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, UNCRC) A caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
