Job Description

Since 2006 Elite Childcare Agency has been providing support workers and childcare practitioners to after school clubs and private nurseries in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife, Dundee and Perth.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Childcare Providers in these areas to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while promoting their development through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children in nursery and school club settings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Carry out age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their expression and creativity while providing guidance as needed. Help with daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the childcare space to create an inviting atmosphere. Willingness to travel to different nurseries near to you.

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education. Strong leadership skills to guide children in their learning experiences effectively. Good communication skills in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues clearly. Ability to manage multiple tasks while providing attentive care to each child.
In accordance with legal requirements, this role will require us to request Disclosure Scotland provide us with a PVG (protecting vulnerable groups) certificate for you. This processes is started by your prospective employer so you won't need it before applying for this role but must be completed during the hiring process before you begin working with us.
