The Role:

As our Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the childminder in the day-to-day care and development of young children. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, outdoor play, and sensory experiences. Providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for the children. Supporting children with their personal care needs, such as toileting, dressing, and mealtimes. Observing and recording children's development and progress. Building positive and nurturing relationships with the children and their families. Maintaining a clean and organized play and learning environment. Adhering to all safeguarding policies and procedures. Working collaboratively with the childminder to ensure the smooth running of the setting.

What We're Looking For:

A genuine love for working with young children and a strong understanding of their developmental needs. Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential - enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!). A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
