Scotland's young people are facing a crisis in mental health. With 100 CAMHS referrals daily and waiting times stretching beyond a year for many children, counsellors are needed more than ever. Emotional distress, trauma, and unmet needs are showing up in classrooms every day -- yet fewer than one-third of schools have access to embedded therapeutic support.
Rookie Rockstars is a dynamic and creative mental health charity working to transform the lives of children and young people across Scotland. We are seeking passionate, qualified children's counsellors to join our counselling and support team in both a school setting and based in our therapy centre. Our approach is child-centred and creative--drawing on a range of modalities including play, art, music, sensory tools, and integrative methods that meet the diverse needs of each child.
