Brokerfy Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a national care provider to appoint a passionate and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead the opening and long-term success of a brand-new 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) residential home in Leicester.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead the home's launch, registration, and early development
Ensure high-quality care and outcomes for children with emotional and behavioural needs
Recruit, manage, and mentor a committed, trauma-informed care team
Oversee safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and Ofsted readiness
Drive home budgeting, staffing strategy, and long-term planning
Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and external professionals
Act as a role model and uphold a therapeutic, child-first approach
Participate in the on-call rota to support 24/7 service coverage
What We're Looking For
Experience: 3+ years in a senior role within a children's residential care setting
Qualifications:
Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People's Workforce
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Skills & Competencies:
Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge (Children Act 1989, Children's Homes Regulations)
Confident people management and team-building abilities
Financial insight and experience managing care home budgets
Flexible leadership style suited to a new home launch
Full UK driving licence
Passion for therapeutic care and a child-centred culture
