About the home:
There are currently 3 young people that live in our home Jasmine Cottage. They're ages 10, 11 and 16. These have been very sucessful long term placements. However two of the children will move on positively over the next 3 months- one to semi independence and one nearer to their family. Jasmine Cottage has a very strong Deputy Manager in place to support a new Registered Manager along with Emma Hemmings our Regional Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the day to day operations of a busy, 3 bedded residential home, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times
Supervise, mentor & support the team, including ensuring training and professional development is continuous and up to date
Having oversight and management of the homes budget & expenditure
Develop and implement bespoke & child centred care plans for the young people
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, Keys Standards and Policy's & Procedures
Maintain 'Outstanding' rating with Ofsted
Promote a positive, trauma-informed culture in the workplace.
+ Manage referrals, liaise with local authorities, and maintain strong relationships with external partners, Local Authorities & Stakeholders
+ Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports to senior management
Qualifications & Experience:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management of Residential Care
Extensive experience in managing young people's residential care
Clear Understanding of Ofsted Standards & experience of leading Ofsted Inspections
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care Models & Practice
Proven ability to lead and manage a Team with excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals & families
