About the Role:



We are seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our

Quality and Safeguarding Team

as

Independent Inspectors

. This consultancy role involves undertaking inspections of children's homes in line with the

Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015

and associated Quality Standards.



As an Independent Inspector, you will provide objective, evidence-based assessments of residential settings, ensuring that children and young people receive safe, nurturing, and high-quality care. Your insights will contribute to continuous improvement and safeguarding excellence across the sector.


Key Responsibilities:




Conduct independent inspections of children's homes in accordance with statutory regulations and best practice. Evaluate the quality of care, safeguarding arrangements, leadership, and management. Produce clear, concise, and professional reports with actionable recommendations. Liaise with providers and stakeholders to support improvement and compliance. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Essential Criteria:




Proven experience in managing or leading children's residential homes. In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

Desirable:




Previous experience working with or for Ofsted, or conducting regulatory inspections. Relevant qualifications in social care, education, or safeguarding.
