Job Description

Salary: 28,000 - 34,000 + Sleep-in Payments (480-600 p/m)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for passionate and resilient Children's Residential Care Practitioners across multiple levels to join a dedicated team supporting children in a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Level 1 - Care Practitioner (Unqualified)

Build positive, trusting relationships with children Set clear and safe boundaries Participate in daily routines, play, and support activities Commit to enrolling on Level 3 QCF Residential Childcare qualification

Level 2 - Care Practitioner (Qualified)

All Level 1 duties Lead shifts and manage team dynamics Mentor new staff Plan and deliver direct work with children Support young people towards independent living

Level 3 - Senior Care Practitioner (Qualified)

All Level 2 duties Supervise staff and oversee practice areas Attend professional and multi-agency meetings Take on additional leadership responsibilities

Key Requirements

Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience ("rhino-thick skin") Basic IT and report-writing skills Full UK driving licence desirable (negotiable) Level 3 QCF Residential Childcare qualification required for Level 2 & 3 roles Willingness to undertake ILM Level 3 for senior pay band (Level 3 role)
