Registered Manager- IMMEDIATE START
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead and register a new children's residential home supporting up to four young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties (EBD).
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new service, shape its development, and build a therapeutic, child-centred environment from the ground up. The home will operate with high staffing ratios and follow a care model informed by Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP).
You will be supported by a core team of a Deputy Manager and three Senior Support Workers, ensuring strong leadership on every shift and shared responsibility in administration and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Register and manage the home in line with Ofsted requirements
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care
Recruit, develop, and lead a motivated and skilled staff team
Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety standards are met
Foster a warm, structured, and supportive environment that enables young people to thrive
Build strong working relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in an Ofsted-registered children's home
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted frameworks
A strong, therapeutic approach with a focus on emotional well-being and behavioural support
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
We also welcome applications from experienced Deputy Managers who are ready to progress and are currently working towards their Level 5 qualification.
