Build a Home That Builds Futures
At Green Tree Children's Home, we believe every child deserves safety, stability, and the opportunity to heal. We're now looking for a dedicated and experienced
Registered Manager
to lead our newly launched 4-bed Ofsted-registered home in Erith, Kent.
This is not just a leadership role--it's a rare opportunity to help shape an environment from day one that gives children aged 8 to 18 the foundations they need to recover, grow, and thrive.
Green Tree Children's Home is part of a growing care group, serving as the first residential service established by a respected provider of semi-independent care. You'll be joining at an exciting time--helping to define best practice and set high standards as we expand our impact in children's social care.
About the Home
Just a short walk from Erith town centre, the home has been purposefully developed with young people in mind. Every room and shared space reflects a therapeutic, calm, and welcoming atmosphere designed to promote emotional safety, connection, and growth. With strong links to local schools, services, and recreational spaces, the home is ideally placed to support children in rebuilding their lives.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the home's success. You'll lead a committed team and ensure that every child receives care that is safe, consistent, and truly person-centred. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing day-to-day operations in line with Ofsted standards and legislative requirements
Recruiting, training, and leading a skilled and passionate care team
Overseeing risk assessments, behaviour support strategies, and personalised care plans
Embedding a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach in every aspect of the home
Engaging with families, professionals, and partners to support each child's journey
Leading on quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
You're someone who brings both heart and experience to residential childcare. You'll have the resilience, vision, and emotional intelligence to build a home where staff feel empowered and children feel genuinely cared for. We're looking for:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work toward it)
Previous experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager in an Ofsted-regulated home
A proven track record of delivering strong outcomes in inspections and practice
Deep understanding of safeguarding and experience working within trauma-informed frameworks
A values-led approach to leadership, team-building, and care delivery
What You'll Receive
A competitive salary with additional performance-related bonus
Fully funded enhanced DBS check
Bespoke leadership development and career progression opportunities
A collaborative and mission-driven work culture
Access to staff wellbeing initiatives and external support resources
The opportunity to make a lasting difference from the ground up
Be Part of Something New--and Transformational
If you're ready to lead with intention and compassion, and want to be part of a values-led organisation at the forefront of residential care, we'd love to hear from you.
