Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Watch Staff member to join our team at Coda Care in Chorley. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children during night hours, contributing significantly to our mission of providing exceptional care. Responsibilities
Carry out
regular checks
on the children and the building, recording observations in line with policies and procedures.
Remain awake & alert
throughout the night
Respond promptly and appropriately
to any incidents, disturbances, or safeguarding concerns during the night.
Support children who may wake in the night
, offering reassurance and care in a calm, sensitive manner.
Ensure that the home remains secure
, conducting routine
health and safety, fire safety, and security checks
.
Complete nightly records
, incident reports, and handover notes for the day team.
Contribute to the
implementation of care plans
and risk assessments as directed by the management team.
Maintain professional boundaries
while promoting a nurturing, respectful environment.
Monitor the safety and well-being of children
during night hours
Assist with night-time routines
and ensure a calm environment
Communicate effectively
with colleagues and management
Foster
positive relationships with children
, promoting their emotional well-being
Participate in
team meetings, supervision, and training
to support personal development and high-quality practice.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a care setting is desired but not essential
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children and staff
Knowledge of childcare principles and practices is desired but not essential
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to emergencies
Previous experience with care plans is preferred but not essential
A valid driving license is advantageous but not required.
IT skills are beneficial for record-keeping.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
