Job Description
Role: Social worker (Fostering Team)
Location: East London
Start Date: 29/08/2023
Diligent, passionate, appropriately qualified and HCPC registered, successful applicants should have the requisite experience to working alongside other motivated workers to recruit, assess, train and support foster carers providing a whole range of foster care to children requiring placements.
Primary responsibilities include:
- assessing new foster carers\' suitability
- updating Form Fs for existing carers
- improving the services to children \'Looked After\' and their carers
- supervising and managing foster care placements in accordance with the UK National Standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations
- producing updating reports detailing both initial and continuing approvals, which will be presented to the relevant panels
The ability and experience to effectively promote positive outcomes, establish trusting relationships with carers and, at all times promoting equality of opportunities are essential attributes.
