Role Overview
As a
Trainee Homes Manager
, you will receive hands-on mentoring and development to prepare for future Ofsted registration. You'll work alongside experienced managers to gain a deep understanding of compliance, safeguarding, staff supervision, and the creation of a warm and positive home environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day management of the residential home.
Work toward achieving Ofsted registration and meeting the "Good" or "Outstanding" inspection outcomes.
Uphold high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and child protection.
Lead, inspire, and develop staff teams to ensure excellent care delivery.
Liaise effectively with external agencies, parents, and professionals.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to policy and procedure development.
Requirements
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) -
Level 5 Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) desirable or willingness to work toward it
.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting.
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence.
