Job Description

We are seeking the perfect elves to complement our Father Christmas' to join a team for the 2025 Christmas season.

The following is intended to provide guidance as to duties, but it is not exhaustive.

The Father Christmas experience is part of the wider Christmas event at Lappa Valley.

Situated in our purpose-built grotto building, Elves duties include:

Greeting visitors at the entrance to our Father Christmas Experience. Escorting visitors from the holding area to the grotto entrance. Working in the grotto, welcoming visitors to see Father Christmas, sorting gifts for Father Christmas to give out to children, operating the camera equipment for souvenir photos and escorting visitors out from the grotto. Covering lunch breaks of other elves to ensure smooth continual operation of the grottos. Assisting in tidying and cleaning duties of the grotto and waiting areas to ensure they are always sparkly clean for our visitors. Use authentic mannerisms and language. Be able to give and take direction and ensure that Father Christmas is keeping to timings agreed. Be available to work a

minimum of 9 of the following dates

. 29 & 30 November, 6, 7, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 & 24 December. (there is a high chance of additional dates to cover, but no earlier than the 23 November).*
Be able to address a group of people and perform to the children, ensuring every visitor feels seen. Have the stamina to work full shifts (the standard shift is 09.00-17.00 with a 35-minute break during the day).

Personal Qualities

Initiative, energy, enthusiasm, and excellent customer service skills. Good presentation. High standards of personal presentation. Be a team player. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. You must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

This role is suitable for someone with a love of Christmas and a real zest for delivering the perfect experience to visitors.

PAY: up to 13.68ph (inclusive of holiday pay)
