We are seeking an experienced Civil Manager to oversee and coordinate civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, supervising experience, and proficiency. This role involves leading teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality on-site. The Civil Supervisor will play a key part in delivering successful project outcomes through effective leadership and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
Supervise civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations
Coordinate daily operations on-site, managing labour, equipment, and materials efficiently
Monitor project progress and report on milestones, addressing any delays or issues promptly
Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards and compliance with health and safety legislation
Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project delivery
Prepare progress reports and documentation as required by project managers
Requirements
Proven experience in supervising civil engineering projects with a strong understanding of construction processes
Proficiency in project scheduling and resource planning
Demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
Prior supervising experience in a civil engineering environment is essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or related fields are preferred
