Rawles Motorsport is the UK's leading Austin Healey specialist and restorer, world renowned for exceptional quality, building modernised cars and resto-mods celebrating the design of a British design icon. We are a family run business and regularly work on other marques including AC, Aston Martin, Jaguar, MG, and other British Marques. With strong forward orders we are looking to expand our friendly team of enthusiastic artisans.

Our trim facility has been refurbished for 2025 and is fully equipped, well-lit and in a superb location overlooking our large showroom, it's classic car trimmers dream environment.

The Candidate

We are seeking a candidate with good automotive upholstery experience on classic cars (boat and jet experience is considered) with knowledge and skills as required to craft bespoke interiors and wet weather gear from start to finish. We are looking for a detail enthusiast who will work as part of a team to build phenomenal cars.

Tasks Involved

Stripping and fitting of interiors Pattern making and material cutting Foam build up and shaping Glueing and covering of door/ trim panels Stitching and fitting seat covers Carpet tailoring, binding and fitting Hood making

Required Skills

Excellent knowledge of leather, mohair and upholstery materials. At least 3 years' experience trim and upholstery. Luxury aerospace and marine industry experience also considered. Knowledge of industrial sewing, skiving machines Knowledge of hand and power tools A great mindset and ability to develop skills whilst working as part of a team
