The Role:

We are looking for dedicated

Cleaners/Kennel Assistants

to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kennels are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and healthy environment for our dogs. You will be responsible for daily kennel upkeep, as well as walking, exercising, and health-checking the dogs in our care. You will also support the training team by assisting in the training process and maintaining health reports and records.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kennels, ensuring a safe environment for the dogs. Walk, exercise, and engage with the dogs to support their physical and mental well-being. Conduct daily health checks on the dogs and record any changes in condition. Assist in maintaining health reports and ensuring all dogs' health needs are met. Aid in the training process, supporting experienced trainers during training sessions. Ensure that all kennel equipment is cleaned, stored, and maintained correctly. Assist in general dog care, including feeding and ensuring the dogs' comfort. Report any concerns regarding the health, safety, or behaviour of the dogs to the management team.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience working with dogs, preferably in a kennel or training environment. A keen interest in animal care and a passion for working with dogs. Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking and handling dogs. Good organisational skills, with the ability to maintain health records and reports. Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior staff members. Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to engage with dogs of various temperaments and breeds.

Pay: 12.71 per hour
