Job Description

Are you passionate about working with young people and skilled in delivering engaging climbing activities? Strood Youth Centre is looking for a dedicated Climbing Instructor to lead safe, inclusive and exciting sessions that support young people's development.


As part of Medway Council's Early Help and Targeted Services, you'll work closely with youth workers to create a welcoming and supportive environment. You'll be responsible for planning and delivering climbing activities in line with national guidance, completing risk assessments, and ensuring safeguarding is at the heart of everything you do.

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a recognised climbing instruction qualification Has experience working with young people, including those with additional needs Can lead sessions confidently and adapt to the needs of the group Is committed to promoting young people's voices and wellbeing

This is a flexible role, with sessions typically held in the evenings and occasional weekends or school holidays. You'll be based at Strood Youth Centre but may work across other Medway locations as needed.
