Job Summary



We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated

Clinical Governance Lead (RGN or RMN)

to champion and oversee the quality and safety of care within our nursing home in London E4. This is a senior leadership role for a

Registered Nurse

with a valid

NMC PIN

and a proven track record in clinical excellence, compliance, and staff development.

As the

Clinical Governance Lead

, you will be the cornerstone of our clinical quality, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care,

CQC

compliance, and continuous improvement. You will work in partnership with the

Home Manager

and

Deputy Manager

to lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team. If you are a senior

Key Responsibilities



Lead and embed the

clinical governance

framework, ensuring systematic monitoring and improvement of care quality and patient safety. Serve as the primary lead for all

CQC

compliance, preparing for inspections, and acting as the key liaison with regulators. Work collaboratively with the

Home Manager

and

Deputy Manager

on the recruitment, induction, training, and regular appraisal of all clinical staff. Ensure all nursing staff receive regular clinical supervision and mandatory training, fostering a culture of continuous professional development. Develop, implement, and audit robust

care plans

to ensure they are effective, person-centred, and uphold the highest standards of

elderly care

. Monitor and analyse clinical outcomes, incidents, and risks, implementing corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives. Oversee the clinical staff rota in conjunction with management to ensure safe and effective staffing levels at all times.

Qualifications & Experience Required



Valid NMC PIN

as a

Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN)

is essential. Proven experience in a

Clinical Governance

,

Clinical Lead

, or

Quality Lead

role within a UK

healthcare

or

nursing home

setting. Extensive knowledge of

CQC

standards and regulatory frameworks, with experience in leading inspection preparations. Demonstrable experience in clinical audit, risk management, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff supervision, mentorship, and performance management. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels.
