Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, including experience in assisted living and nursing homes. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to create and implement care plans tailored to the needs of residents, particularly those with dementia and Alzheimer's. The Home Manager will ensure that all staff provide high-quality care while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

Duties



Manage the overall operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in senior care. Supervise and lead a team of caregivers, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills in medication administration, dementia care, and general resident support. Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, regularly reviewing their effectiveness and making adjustments as necessary. Foster a positive environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, and well-being. Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate records of residents' health status, medication administration, and any incidents that occur within the home. Engage with families to provide updates on their loved ones' progress and address any concerns they may have. Ensure that the home is adequately staffed at all times by managing recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff members.

Qualifications



Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes is essential. A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is highly desirable. Strong management skills with previous supervisory experience in a care home or similar environment. Demonstrated knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care practices. Ability to create effective care plans that meet the diverse needs of residents. Excellent leadership skills with a passion for providing high-quality care to seniors. Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, families, staff, and external healthcare providers. A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
