Clinical Care Manager

About the Role:
As Clinical Care Manager, you'll play a key role in providing clinical oversight and leadership to ensure the delivery of outstanding, person-centred care. You'll work closely with the Registered Manager and multidisciplinary professionals, championing best practices and compliance with CQC and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Mentor and lead nursing and care staff to deliver safe, high-quality care
Drive clinical governance, audits, and infection control processes
Maintain compliance with CQC standards and internal policies
Resident Care & Wellbeing
Develop and review personalised care plans
Monitor and respond to residents' health needs promptly
Lead safeguarding and mental capacity assessments
Staff Development
Supervise and support staff through training and competency assessments
Contribute to recruitment and retention of nursing staff
Quality & Compliance
Conduct audits, incident reviews, and investigations
Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Medication Management
Oversee medication administration and stock control
Ensure adherence to MAR chart procedures and prescription guidelines
Stakeholder Engagement
Communicate effectively with families, staff, and external professionals
Respond to concerns with empathy and professionalism
Person Specification:
Essential
NMC-registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active PIN
Educated to a minimum of Degree level.
Minimum 2 years in a senior nursing role, preferably in a care home
Strong leadership, clinical, and decision-making skills
Knowledge of elderly, dementia, and end-of-life care
Familiarity with CQC regulations and health & safety legislation
Competence in medication management and care planning systems
Desirable
Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, dementia, or palliative care
Experience in auditing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives
Experience in training delivery to staff teams
