Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Lead to join our growing care team at Guardian Angel Carer's. This role is pivotal in leading the clinical standards across our community-based services. While not essential, experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries or complex neurological conditions is highly desirable.
The postholder will work collaboratively across care teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. They will provide clinical oversight, drive governance and quality improvement, and support the growth and development of the clinical workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Quality Assurance:
Provide clinical expertise and leadership across a range of complex care packages, including (but not limited to) clients with spinal injuries.
Develop, review, and implement clinical care protocols, risk assessments, and documentation standards.
Ensure safe, evidence-based practice aligned with current guidance and regulatory expectations (CIW and NMC).
Support robust incident management, safeguarding processes, and clinical audits.
Participating in the on-call Rota (shared across the team)
Team Development & Support:
Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to care teams and field-based staff.
Lead training needs analysis, and personal development planning.
Promote a culture of accountability, empathy, and ongoing professional growth.
Service Development & Strategy:
Contribute to business planning and service development proposals to enhance the care offer.
Identify service delivery gaps and areas for innovation or clinical enhancement.
Work closely with operational and commercial teams to align care excellence with growth strategy.
Client & Family Support:
Ensure care is tailored to individual needs, preferences, and goals--supporting independence and rehabilitation where appropriate.
Build trusting relationships with clients, families, and external partners.
Participate in multidisciplinary reviews and discharge planning processes.
Education, Training & Research:
Lead or support delivery of internal training programmes for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Keep up to date with best practice guidance, especially within spinal and complex care.
Encourage a learning culture and lead clinical reflection sessions where appropriate.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (Adult) - Current NMC registration (essential).
Leadership or management training/qualification (desirable).
Additional certification in spinal injuries, neurology, or rehabilitation (desirable but not essential).
Experience:
Proven post-registration experience in a community, complex care, or neuro-rehab setting.
Previous leadership or clinical supervisory experience.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with spinal cord injuries or similar long-term care needs (beneficial).
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and safeguarding.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Able to manage complex caseloads and competing priorities.
Committed to continuous improvement and high-quality, person-centred care.
