Across 7 days, a mixture of shift patterns, 7.45am to 8pm, 7.45am to 2pm or 2pm to 8pm

As our Clinical Lead, you will be a key figure in the home, working alongside the Home Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered every day.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:



Clinical Governance & Leadership
You will be the clinical expert on the floor, providing strong leadership to our care team. This involves mentoring and motivating staff to ensure they deliver compassionate and effective care. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring all clinical practices comply with the latest professional standards and guidelines. You'll also be responsible for supervising the day-to-day clinical operations, acting as a point of escalation for complex care situations, and ensuring our systems and procedures are robust and evidence-based. Our Clinical Lead will work closely with the Home Manager to champion a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and updating policies and protocols to reflect best practices and CQC guidelines.

Resident Care Management
Your role is central to the well-being of our residents. You will oversee the entire care planning process, from initial assessment to ongoing evaluation. You'll ensure each resident's care plan is highly personalised and accurately reflects their individual needs, preferences, and goals. This includes managing medication, coordinating with external healthcare providers, and acting as a primary point of contact for residents and their families to discuss care-related matters. You'll manage complex health needs, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
Maintaining the highest standards of care is paramount. You'll be responsible for conducting regular clinical audits and inspections to ensure all care practices meet and exceed regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC. You will lead on incident reporting and investigation, implementing robust action plans to prevent recurrence. By championing a culture of continuous improvement, you will help us maintain our reputation for providing outstanding, safe, and effective care.

Staff Development & Performance
Investing in our team is key to our success. You will play a vital role in the professional development of our care staff. This includes identifying training needs, organising and delivering educational sessions, and conducting regular appraisals and supervision sessions. You will ensure our team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge, providing them with the tools they need to excel in their roles and grow their careers within our home. Our Clinical Lead will provide constructive feedback, support their well-being, and guide them in their professional growth.
