About Us

We are a nurturing and vibrant after-school club dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for children aged 4-11. Our aim is to support families by offering high-quality wraparound care that promotes learning through play, creativity, and positive social interaction.

Role Overview

We are seeking a confident and passionate Club Manager with at least 2 years of experience in childcare or youth settings to lead and manage the daily operations of our after-school provision. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, planning, and active engagement with children to create a warm and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of the after-school club, ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging experience for all children. Lead, support, and supervise a small team of playworkers or assistants. Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate activities (creative, physical, educational). Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, health and safety procedures, and regulatory standards (e.g., Ofsted requirements). Build positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff. Maintain accurate records including registers, incident logs, and child profiles. Manage stock and resources; order supplies as needed within budget. Report to the business owner or senior leadership and provide regular updates on operations.
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a childcare, school, or club environment. A relevant Level 3 childcare or playwork qualification (or working toward it). Proven ability to lead a team and manage a structured environment. Strong understanding of safeguarding, first aid, and behaviour management. Energetic, reliable, and organised with a positive "can-do" attitude. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one prior to starting).
Desirable

Paediatric First Aid certification. Knowledge of EYFS or similar frameworks. Experience liaising with Ofsted or local authorities.
