The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and writing programs for a range of CNC lathes. This role offers individuals with a background in manufacturing, mechanical knowledge, and materials handling to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Working with a range of materials to produce a vast range of components for varying applications.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring accurate programming and operation according to technical specifications.
Operate several types of CNC equipment including Multi Turret and Swiss-Type CNC Lathe.
Interpret technical drawings.
Conduct quality checks on finished parts, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Assist with associated assembly jobs when required.
Who we are looking for
Required: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, operating CNC machines
Knowledge of machine programming.
Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and tooling equipment.
Strong understanding of materials handling and safety procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Mathematics skills for both metric and imperial measurements, calculations, and programming adjustments.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production processes in a dynamic workplace.
Beneficial: Experience in CAD software is advantageous.
Forklift experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
Previous Experience operating FANUC controlled CNCs.
