Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator based in North Bedfordshire on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the CNC Operator role
Salary: 30,000 - 33,000 dependent on experience
Location: North Beds
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities of the CNC Operator
- Prepare and operate CNC machines.
- Translate instructions into computer commands.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
- Inspect and measure final products.
- Engineering qualifications or time-served apprenticeship within a relevant role.
- Experience using Homag or Holzer CNC machines.
- Experience using precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
