CNC Operator

Storth Ltd is a long established and reputable family-owned company manufacturing Slurry Handling equipment for the Agricultural sector. Founded in 1999 our product range has expanded vastly selling our products in the UK as well as worldwide.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic person to operate our Haas ST25Y and ST35Y CNC lathes. You will understand how the machinery functions and assist with setup and day-to-day operation. You will be part of a team regularly inspecting and maintaining the machines to ensure continuous production and a safe working environment.

CNC Operator duties:

To operate our CNC lathes safely and efficiently. Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures on our Haas ST25Y and ST35Y machines. Work within tolerances (drawing tolerances), setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds. Use measuring equipment accurately using gauges and calipers. Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings from the design team into measurements for production. Question any tolerances or discrepancies with design team. Make sure materials are correct diameter for the job from the cutting shop. Ensure your work area is tidy and free from debris. Ensure tools are correctly used and stored away after use. Understanding the need for and wear appropriate PPE - eyes, head and neck, feet, hands, feet and legs. Liaise with members of other departments. Communicate with other departments throughout the process. Meet criteria for production quality standards. Maintain machines, carry out maintenance checks and service machine accordingly. Report any defects to Line Manager.

Salary dependant on experience 20 days holidays plus Bank Holidays Long service holiday scheme 42.5 hours per week Monday - Thursday 8am - 5.30pm Friday 8am - 3pm Job Type: Full-time.
