We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic timber manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a solid understanding of timber fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines to produce precision timber parts according to specifications.
Experience on Alphacam preferable, but training can be provided
Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to understand production requirements.
Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand controllers and their functions.
Experience in fabricating components using various machining techniques.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during production processes.
Familiarity with tooling setups and adjustments for different machining operations.
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
