Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to join our latest Meraki Restaurant group project. A complete refurbishment of our Hamilton restaurant includes the arrival of the amazing Vesper Bar.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong hospitality background, a passion for crafted cocktails and fine wines and a comprehensive understanding of bar management.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and inspire the bar team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and consistency. Curate and maintain an innovative cocktail and drinks menu in line with the Vesper Bar identity. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels. Train and mentor staff in hospitality practices, serving techniques, and barista skills. Be a visible, welcoming presence on the floor, building relationships with guests. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with restaurant management to create a cohesive dining experience.

Requirements

2 Years

Previous experience as a Bar Manager or Senior Bartender in a premium bar or restaurant. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers. A background in serving or barista roles. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
