We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our vibrant cafe team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Duties
Lead daily coffee shop operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts while maintaining a lively and positive atmosphere
Supervise and train staff on food preparation, beverage crafting, POS systems (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service protocols
Manage inventory control for coffee beans, food ingredients, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
Oversee cash handling procedures, including balancing registers and preparing financial reports accurately
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and health codes across all areas of the cafe
Coordinate shift schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, culinary techniques, hospitality management, and customer engagement
Develop strategies for improving customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery and product quality
Manage food production processes including food preparation, cooking, catering events, and barista services to meet high standards of quality
Conduct interviews for new team members to build a talented workforce aligned with our service values
Monitor budget adherence by controlling costs related to labor, supplies, and food production
Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages professional growth through ongoing training & development initiatives
Requirements
Proven experience managing a quick service or fast food restaurant with a focus on coffee or casual dining environments
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, and kitchen management practices
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
Strong supervisory background with demonstrated leadership in hospitality or restaurant management roles
Familiarity with inventory control procedures and food safety regulations to ensure compliance at all times
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high operational standards
Experience in training & development of staff in food handling, culinary skills, and hospitality best practices
Background in budgeting and cost control within the food industry is highly desirable
Prior experience working in hotel or banquet settings is a plus but not required
Knowledge of barista operations or coffee industry standards is preferred
Exceptional communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
