We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee shop Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our vibrant cafe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in drink and food preparation and team management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a busy establishment, ensuring exceptional service standards and maintaining high levels of food safety and quality. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing the coffee areas, and ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the cafe.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily cafe operations, including food preparation, serving to ensure efficient service.
Lead and supervise a team of staff, including baristas,
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to maintain high standards of hospitality and food safety.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly regarding food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs.
Maintain excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and resolving any issues promptly.
Implement promotional activities to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced for menu offerings.
Uphold the cafe's brand image through professional conduct and presentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a cafe or similar setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production processes.
Demonstrable supervising experience with team management skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership qualities with a focus on motivating teams and fostering a positive working atmosphere.
