Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our vibrant coffee shop at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service and high-quality products to our customers. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both customers and employees.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service. Train and mentor staff in food preparation techniques, customer service, and health and safety regulations. Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, maintaining quality and presentation standards. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for excellent customer satisfaction. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations and dining areas. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and promotional strategies.

Skills

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food production and preparation. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation. Knowledge of bartending practices is advantageous but not essential. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for coffee culture and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
