We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Coffee Shop Supervisor to oversee daily operations in order to achieve a high level of service in our friendly coffee shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a thorough understanding of food production and safety. As a supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the team, maintaining quality control and a welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
Duties
Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop and adherence to quality standards.
Train, mentor, motivate and manage team members to enhance their skills in customer service and food preparation.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in the preparation of beverages and food items, maintaining high culinary standards.
Manage front of house presentation.
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
Instil organisation and multitasking skills to all staff to establish the smooth running of the kitchen and dining area in order to provide a pleasant atmosphere for guests.
Collaborate with management to implement promotional activities and innovations.
Monitor stock levels and ordering of supplies adopting good food cost management techniques.
Assist with weekly staff rota
Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is essential.
Strong background in food production and culinary practices is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring a positive work environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and resolve issues efficiently.
A passion for coffee culture and an understanding of various brewing methods is advantageous.
