Overview
Pausa Coach: 313.30 rising to 313.84 per hour.
Starting salary equivalent of 324,206 rising to 325,188.80 per year, plus overtime.
Pausa Coach
You will be the heartbeat of our Pausa coffee shop. Youll take ownership of the business and set the tone creating a warm and welcoming space where our customers can relax, connect and enjoy exceptional service. Whether someones popping in for a quick caffeine fix or settling in for their regular catch up, youll make sure every visit feels like a treat.
Youll lead by example bringing energy, warmth and creating a fast and friendly culture within your team. Youll empower your colleagues to take pride in their craft, build expert knowledge and drive sales. You know what great looks like and work hard every day to make it happen. Its a busy, hands-on role that takes energy, focus and a fair bit of graft.
As a true people-person, youll thrive in creating a team thats passionate, friendly and genuinely enjoys what they do. Youll keep a close eye on whats working (and whats not) - transforming Pausa into more than just a coffee shop, but a joyful place where everyone feels at home.
What you'll be doing
Lead by example engaging with your customers, listening to their thoughts and picking up on the little details that help make their experience even better.
Setting the pace for a fast and friendly service that leaves customers smiling and wanting to come back
Inspiring your team to deliver joy through every interaction , including using expert advice and recommending their favourite products
Handling any hiccups calmly and confidently, using the food escalation process when needed
Celebrating the wins (big and small) and creating an environment where everyone feels they can be their best self valued, supported and genuinely proud of the work they do
Checking in with your team through regular wellbeing 121s, progress and career conversations and supporting the store succession plan
Supporting the Leadership Team to bring the Engagement Action Plan to life in-store
Build motivation within your team by setting daily targets and weekly product focuses to maximise sales
Weekly catch ups with your Store Coach to talk trade, compliance, customers, rotas and the week ahead
Keeping the bestsellers in stock by ordering smartly and minimising waste
Make sure merchandising and campaigns are set up right first time and coach your teams to confidently flex displays throughout the day
Encourage ideas, improvements and fresh thinking so Pausa continues to grow with our customers
What we'll look for in you

• Youve led a team before ideally in a fast-paced retail setting where theres always something going on.
• Youve worked with food and drink maybe in a cafxc3xa9, a deli, or somewhere that smells like toast in the morning.
• Youre happy to work weekends were at our busiest when everyone else is off, so flexibility is key.
• You care about your team youre the kind of person who checks in, cheers people on, and helps everyone feel part of something good.
• Youre a great communicator whether its chatting with customers or catching up with the Store Manager, you know how to get your point across.
• Youre all in not just for your department, but for the whole store. Were one team, and we all muck in.
