Vantec Europe Limited (VEU) are headquartered in Washington, Sunderland and owned by the Logisteed Group. We are one of the top third-party logistics (3PL) providers in the Japanese market and we are continuously growing our global business.

We currently operate 13 sites in the UK with a customer base in high volume automotive, premium automotive, construction equipment, lighting, automotive battery and offshore industries.

Our services include Last-Mile / Just-In-Time (JIT) logistics, Warehousing, Kitting, Sequencing, Decant, Transport, and Linefeed. Our operations are underpinned by flexible and agile systems which integrate seamlessly with our customers and create robust processes.

Vantec Interactive Experience (VIE) is an immersive platform that uses 360-degree and 270-degree interactive projection to create realistic environments for training, sales and learning.

Commercial Controller



Based within the Commercial Team based at Vantec Europe, Hillthorn Business Park.

39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 7:55 to 16:35
Friday: Friday 7:55 to 13:35

This is a day shift position, but the applicant must be flexible to work additional hours during busy periods.

Your role as a Commercial Controller can be diverse, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the Commercial Department, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, resolving commercial queries efficiently and effectively.

Summary of main responsibilities:



Assess quote request for allocation Create log and file quotes Progress live quotations to conclusion and provide status report Facilitation of the setup of new customers Creation of cost models - Customer budget Preparing and issuing month end pre-advice to customer and Finance Co-ordinate and/maintain customer charging Support credit control with debt escalation process Investigate and answer queries from Internal and external customers Creating reports for analytical purposes Support new business tender activities as appropriate Supporting with HR related issues including appraisals/fact file Creating customer facility budget Align the quarterly fuel costs with customer Review holiday top up and agree new rates with customer Monitor agreed sale rates vs actual costs Understanding of month end process linked with accounts e.g. accruals Support internal and external meetings as commercial stakeholder Monitor contract timings Assist with compliance policies/queries Understanding sign off levels Supporting with accreditation activities Support with continuous improvement initiatives

Financial responsibilities when dealing with Sales.

Knowledge and Experience



Essential

Experience working in a customer service role. Experience working to strict deadlines.
Desirable

Knowledge of working within a warehouse environment. Experience of working in a fast paced automotive/manufacturing sector. Knowledge and experience of negotiations and political awareness.

Education/Qualifications



Essential

English and Maths GCSE at C grade or above. Driving Licence.
