Harveys Laundry are seeking a skilled and qualified

Laundry Engineer

to join our operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our industrial laundry equipment is maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and supporting the efficient running of our facility.

We are seeking candidates with UK qualifications and experience.

Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on industrial washing machines, dryers, ironers, conveyors, and associated systems. Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs in a timely and effective manner. Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.

Installation & Commissioning

Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment. Support in testing, calibration, and commissioning processes.

Operational Support

Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency. Provide technical support and advice to staff on correct machine usage.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records. Report on machine performance and highlight recurring issues.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an engineer, ideally within the

laundry, textile, or industrial machinery

sector. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics (advantageous but not essential). Excellent problem-solving ability with a proactive, hands-on approach. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong awareness of

health & safety

standards.
37.5 hours per week. Monday-Friday. Occasional emergency Saturday or evening cover required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-31,000.00 per year
