We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a strong foundation in kitchen operations. The Commis will work under the supervision of senior chefs, assisting with food production and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation and cooking processes according to established recipes and standards
Support the team in ensuring timely and efficient food production during service hours
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to health and safety regulations
Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Collaborate with team members to achieve smooth kitchen operations
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment of ingredients
Support supervising staff in overseeing junior team members when required
Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional kitchen environment
Skills
Previous experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hospitality preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
Leadership qualities with experience supervising or managing team members is advantageous
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Effective communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and senior staff
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced kitchen setting
