The Role:
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Chef / Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You'll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes in a busy cafe setting. This role is hands-on, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a friendly team environment and takes pride in maintaining high kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities:
o? ?Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and service
o? ?Prepare simple dishes such as toasties, sandwiches, and light breakfast items
o? ?Support with plating, garnishing, and food presentation
o? ?Keep the kitchen clean and organised, including washing dishes and maintaining hygiene standards
o? ?Receive and store deliveries, checking stock rotation and freshness
o? ?Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
o? ?Work as part of a small, supportive team to ensure smooth service
What We're Looking For:
o? ?Previous kitchen experience (cafe, restaurant, or catering) preferred but not essential
o? ?A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
o? ?Good communication and teamwork skills
o? ?Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
o? ?Attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness and quality
